Rams Head East as Three-Point Road Favorites Over Banged-Up Eagles
A shaky 1-2 start meets a shorthanded Eagles team, and Vegas likes the Rams anyway.

The Rams (1-2, 3rd in the NFC West) fly to Philadelphia to face an Eagles team that's also treading water at 2-1. Kickoff is Sunday, October 4 at 1:00 PM ET from Lincoln Financial Field, and the sportsbooks have the road team favored β Rams -3, over/under 43.5. That number tells you something about how banged up this Eagles roster looks right now.
Film room
Start with the trenches, like always. Stafford's thrown for 872 yards and 6 touchdowns but also 4 picks β that ratio needs to tighten up on the road. Kyren Williams is doing the dirty work, 214 yards on the ground, and Davante Adams has been the one guy stepping up every week: 18 catches, 358 yards, 2 scores. Across the line, Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts has 620 yards and 5 touchdowns of his own, with Saquon Barkley grinding out 174 yards on 34 carries. That's a load for the Rams front seven to deal with.
Three things that matter
- Eagles' banged-up room. Dallas Goedert is doubtful with a knee, Hollywood Brown is questionable with an ankle, and both of their backup quarterbacks are out. That's a depth chart with holes in it.
- Rams' own walking wounded. Puka Nacua is questionable with hip soreness, and Terrance Ferguson and Jaylen Watson are doubtful. If those pieces can't go, that's a problem against a Philly team that still has playmakers.
- Recent form. The Rams have been streaky β a 34-0 win over the Saints, a 20-18 squeaker over the Chargers, then a 27-7 loss to the Niners, a win over the Giants, and a loss at Denver. Philly's dropped three of its last five, including a 27-7 loss at Chicago. Neither team is playing complete football right now.

Our take
I don't love road favorites when the receiving corps has question marks next to it, but Philly's got more holes right now, especially at quarterback depth and tight end. Give me the Rams to survive by a field goal, maybe two. Don't expect a track meet β this one stays close if the turnovers don't pile up again.
